Interval Matching filters the products a subscriber sees so they only get options that fit their billing cadence.
Running a catalog on more than one cadence has always meant policing it by hand, with separate collections per interval and a CX queue asking why a variety pack designed to ship every three months turned up monthly. Now the portal reads each subscription's interval and interval count and shows only products with a selling plan that matches. Filtering works at the variant level, so if the 16 oz sells quarterly and the 8 oz sells monthly, a monthly subscriber sees only the 8 oz. It applies to swap and add the same way, layers on top of your existing filters, and comes on by default with a toggle in Customer Portal settings if you'd rather show everything. There's a second half for merchants who want flexibility instead of a guardrail. Turn on auto-split and a cross-interval add creates a second subscription on the correct cadence, inheriting the payment method and shipping address, while the original keeps running. Two subscriptions on the right schedules beats one on the wrong one.
Matching is exact, so a subscription billing every 45 days only sees products with a 45-day plan.
