Dashboard interface updates

Improvement

Dashboard

Dashboard interface updates bring a consistent look to the pages you spend the most time in, starting with Customers, Bulk Operations, Data Export, Segments, Fraud Prevention, Payment Recovery, and the checkout link builder.

You've probably noticed the dashboard doesn't read quite the same from one page to the next, since a table on one page and a table on another haven't always carried the same controls in the same places. Those pages now share one interface, so headers, tables, filters, and pagination look and behave the same wherever you land. Nothing about how the pages work has changed. Your filters, exports, and operations do what they did, in the same places, and there's nothing to turn on or migrate. This is rolling out section by section rather than all at once, so for a while you'll see updated pages sitting next to ones still waiting their turn.

The payoff is dull and real: a dashboard that behaves the same everywhere is one your new hire learns once instead of seven times, and it's the groundwork that gets the next round of dashboard improvements to you faster.
