Referral Safeguards let you hold referral credits until a referred friend's subscription sticks.
The gap was timing: a referrer could earn credits the moment their friend joined, even if that friend cancelled minutes later, which left you handing out credits for orders that never stuck and opened the door to abuse. You can now set a holding window before referral credits are awarded. Pick a delay, say 24 hours, and the referrer's credits only land once the friend's subscription clears that window. If the friend cancels before the window closes, no credits go out.
It's a straightforward guardrail that ties referral rewards to referrals that actually convert, so you protect credit spend, cut down on gaming, and keep your referral program rewarding the subscribers who bring you real customers.
