Loss Aversion Loyalty Screen is a modal in cancel flow that shows customers their loyalty tier status and what they'll lose by canceling, available to merchants using Skio's loyalty feature.
We added dynamic properties that pull each customer's current tier, distance to next tier upgrade, and the specific rewards they've earned or are close to unlocking. This is for loyalty-enabled merchants who want to reduce churn by making the cost of canceling crystal clear at decision time. Customers see their tier name, how close they are to their next upgrade (in dollars or orders), and exactly which rewards they're walking away from if they cancel now. The modal sits right after the splash screen in cancel flow, using real-time data to personalize the message for each customer. It taps into loss aversion psychology. People hate losing what they've already earned, so this turns cancellation attempts into saves.
Higher cancel save rates, fewer customers bailing right before tier upgrades, and more retention without discount bribes or manual outreach.
