Limit Skips to Billing Date is a retention control that prevents customers from skipping their subscription past your billing date limit.

We added a toggle in Customer Portal v3 that links skip restrictions to your existing billing date limit setting. If you've set a 90-day billing date limit, customers can't skip beyond 90 days from today. This is for merchants dealing with serial skippers who postpone orders indefinitely instead of actually canceling, creating shadow churn where subscriptions are technically active but generating zero revenue. You set your billing date limit in Portal Settings > Experience > Timing & Rules, toggle on "Limit skips to next billing date," and customers hit a hard stop when they try to skip past that threshold. It forces customers to either stay engaged with their subscription or make an actual decision to cancel, cuts down on perpetually delayed revenue, and gives you control over how far customers can kick the can down the road.

Your support team can still skip orders past the limit in Admin when needed. The restriction only applies to customer self-service in the portal.
