Custom extensions - Customer Portal

Customer Portal

New

Custom extensions turn the custom block in Customer Portal v3 into a set you can build, save, and reuse anywhere in the layout.

Until now that was a single block fixed to the top of the page. You add extensions from the bottom of the layout editor, either a new one or a block you've already saved, then drag them into the vertical order you want and remove the ones you don't need. Each block is still raw HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with Skio's API behind it, so a block that offers to merge two subscriptions and a block that runs buy more, ship less in a single button can sit on different parts of the page instead of competing for the same slot. You write and edit in the sidebar against a live preview, so you watch a block render as you type rather than saving and reloading to find out. Your existing block carries over automatically under the label Custom block legacy, and the global CSS field is unchanged, so nothing you built before needs rework.

Every merchant has a list of things they wish the portal did, and now there's somewhere to put it.
