Backup Payment Method lets subscribers add a secondary payment method that automatically processes if their primary card fails. We built automatic failover logic that switches to the backup payment method when the primary declines. This is for reducing churn from failed payments without manual intervention. Subscribers add a backup card or payment method in the portal, and if their primary fails during dunning, Skio automatically tries the backup. It reduces involuntary churn, cuts support tickets about payment failures, and recovers more revenue.
