Pharmaceutical Grade, Pure and Simple
Pure TheraPro Rx® makes pharmaceutical-grade supplements without the fillers, the flow agents, or the practitioner markup. The founders built the brand on a simple thesis: 99% of supplement manufacturers let profit override formulation, and that math doesn't have to hold. Their model is direct-to-consumer, clinically-backed ingredients only, China-free sourcing, NSF/GMP-certified manufacturing, and third-party testing on every batch.
Subscriptions sit at the center of the business. The Subscribe & Save 15% program locks in cadences for the products customers take daily: foundational vitamins, methylation support, gut health blends, the highest quality glutathione, and more. For replenishable supplements, subscription is the natural state of the relationship. For Pure TheraPro Rx, it's also the most defensible revenue line on the P&L.
Which made what happened in Q1 2025 unacceptable.
The Cancel Flow That Wasn't
Pure TheraPro was not taking advantage of the full power of the retention toolkit at their fingertips. Total cancellations ran 67% higher year-over-year. Save rate sat at 6.6%, meaning the vast majority of subscribers who hit the cancel flow walked all the way through to confirmation. On 5 of the 6 cancellation reasons offered, the save rate was zero. Subscribers picking those reasons had one outcome: gone.
The flow wasn't really a flow. It was a default Skio configuration with no structured retention logic and just one available treatment: Skip. Every other reason routed straight to a goodbye screen. There was no diagnostic layer to match cancellation cause to retention action, no behavioral offer presented before discounting, and no reactivation path for subscribers who paused or skipped.
For a brand whose entire model assumes replenishment, that meant unrecoverable LTV walking out the door every week. Pure TheraPro brought in ISACC Media, a performance-led retention agency, to rebuild the whole surface.
Behavioral-First Retention, Built on Skio
ISACC Media, working closely with Pure Thera’s Head of Marketing, ran a three-phase rebuild on top of Skio's Cancel Flow.
Phase one was diagnosis. The team mapped every cancellation reason through Skio's Cancel Flow Analytics and identified which patterns had the biggest revenue impact. The goal was to understand why subscribers were actually leaving and pair each cause to the retention action most likely to land.
Phase two was the strategy shift. ISACC Media adopted a behavioral-first approach: skip, pause, swap, and frequency change get offered before any discount. The logic is straightforward. When a subscriber's friction is timing or quantity, compressing margin with a discount fixes nothing. Offering the right action does.
Phase three was automation. ISACC Media rewired the Cancel Flow into a reason-led path where every cancellation reason routes to a tailored retention method. They also upgraded Skio's Splash Screen: a subscription actions educational banner now sits above the fold, and the primary CTA changed from "Change next order date" to "Skip," removing friction at the first decision point. On the Klaviyo side, ISACC Media built reactivation flows for paused and skipped subscribers, turning the cancel surface into the start of a re-engagement path instead of an exit.
Save Rate Climbed +274% in One Quarter
The monthly trajectory tells the story. January save rate sat at 1.90% with the default flow still running. February jumped to 3.10% the moment the rebuilt Cancel Flow and updated Splash Screen launched. March hit 7.10%, a 274% lift over January.
The Splash Screen alone now saves 37.93% of would-be cancellers before they ever reach the flow. Nearly 4 in 10 subscribers who clicked toward cancellation chose Skip instead, helped by the educational banner explaining their subscription options.
Save methods diversified too. In Q1 2025, 100% of saves came from a single treatment (Skip, 17 total saves). In Q1 2026, saves spread across four methods: Skip at 55%, Pause at 25%, Change Date at 15%, and Delay at 5%. Pause is entirely new, creating a reactivation pipeline rather than a permanent exit. Churn rate dropped 1.34 points to 6.09%. Saved sessions climbed 17.65% versus Q1 2025, even with the optimized flow only deployed mid-quarter.
Q2 is already trending past 20%. ISACC Media and Pure TheraPro Rx are now using Split Treatment A/B testing data from Q1 to optimize save paths per cancellation reason, targeting a sustained 10%+ save rate by mid-2026.
